We must have had more than 10 bassists play in Captain Wilberforce over the years – the nature of being in a band of a certain age (life can get in the way). Very recently we’ve recruited Geoff Doig to replace the bass player shaped hole left by Matt Lewis who had been with us over the last couple of years. At the same time we said goodbye to Oli Moor, our keyboardist, and are focusing on trying to get gig ready as a 4 piece. Cheers to both Oli and Matt for their amazing contributions – they will both be appearing on the album when it’s out, even though it feels like that day will never come!
In the meantime, Si will be playing some solo acoustic shows in May, in Leeds and Liverpool, as follows:
Wed 28th – Northern Guitars, Leeds 7:30pm supporting Caper Clowns (Denmark) – Free entry
Thurs 29th – 5:30pm Cavern Club, Liverpool as part of the IPO festival – £5 for all day entrance
Thurs 29th – 7:30pm Cavern Pub, Liverpool as part of the IPO festival – Free entry all day
